rosehip and apple jelly

last weekend i made rosehip syrup and rosehip and apple jelly. the syrup was ready first and i wasn't keen on the flavour, which made me sceptical about whether i'd like the rosehip and apple jelly.

i tried it yesterday, on toast, and thankfully the answer is yes! it has a subtle flavour - the apple is discernable and the rosehip adds a hint of plum but with more tropical overtones. and it set beautifully (it didn't do so straightaway so, if yours is still soft after 24 hours, give it a few more days). such a pretty colour too.
